Long time, no post

I can't believe it's been almost a week since I last posted. The main reason is because I have been sick as a dog for the past 3 days. I started with round 2 of the stomach flu on Friday. And it was 100 times worse! Today is the first time in 3 days that I've been able to sit or stand without getting dizzy or throwing up. I don't think I've been this sick in a long time. It was AWFUL! I don't know what I would have done with out my sweet hubby to take care of me & watch Hollie all weekend. It's especially a bummer, because I was really looking forward to this weekend. Here's everything I missed out on...

*Out to lunch with my Mom
*My friend's baby shower
*The White's family shoot (I was supposed to have a bridal shoot, too, but thankfully she had to reschedule because of dress alterations)
*Leslie's talk at church on Sunday

Well, at least I'm starting to feel better. I hope everyone else had a better weekend than I did.

Tugs at my heart strings

When Sam got home from work, we started talking about Jesse's last letter from Argentina. Then, Sam started telling me a bunch of stories from his mission. We were talking for about 45 minutes while Hollie just sat there, content in her daddy's arms. After a while, I gave her her binker & she was sound asleep seconds later. I don't know why, but it just struck me as so tender. Maybe because I love the sound of Sam's voice so much & I'm so glad that Hollie finds it soothing, too.

House full of sickies

You're not supposed to come home sick from vacation! On top of her cold, Hollie's had projectile vomit a couple of times. Yucky! Thankfully, Sam & I haven't thrown up, we've just been sick to our stomachs & had other intestinal discomforts. It's obviously contagious because Erin & Annie have been sick, too (I hope you guys are feeling better!). So, we decided to spare the ward whatever little friend came home from Bear Lake with us. We're all feeling much better today, though.

Anyway, Hollie had the biggest snot bubble ever yesterday. It was so impressive that I had to get the camera (please excuse my hubby's G's in the pictures).

Bear Lake

We had so much fun at Bear Lake with Sam's family! I did come home a little battered & bruised, though. You could say I'm somewhat the "adventurous type" & I threw Sam & I 30 feet off the wave runner. It was awesome! My legs are so beat up. I'm afraid someone will turn Sam into social services. :O)

Hollie absolutely LOVED playing in the sand. I thought she'd try putting her hands in her mouth, but she didn't. She did do a face plant, though.

Group shots - the Grandkids, the Boys, the Girls & the Parentals...

Boo Boo brought her toy stroller up, and I thought it would be funny to put Hollie in it. Annie thought it was so cool to push a real baby in her stroller. :O)

After Hollie wore CJ's sunglasses up at Snowbird, we had to get her a pair of her own. I just think she looks so cute in them!

Cheerleader Hollie

I was playing around with Hollie one day & we discovered "Cheerleader Hollie." The pictures don't do it justice, but it is hilarious! The next time you see us in person, we must demonstrate. Here's her cheer...

Ready, ok!

Go, team go!

Snowbird is...

...the best week of the year! In the words of Elder Jesse, "It's better than Christmas!" We had soooooooo much fun!

We had a blast playing at the park. It used to be this little dinky playground with, like, 1 swing set. Well, they completely re-vamped the whole thing. It's awesome! They put in these cool swings with 5 point harnesses. Hollie loved them!

Hollie wanted to lay right by me & play while I was reading. It was so cute!

We were down at the pool every day. I swear, I could just live in the water! Apparently, we wore Hollie right out because she took a nap in the orange floater that she was in. You wouldn't think a noisy swimming pool would be the best place to sleep, but she didn't mind.

Hollie was playing on the floor & she got a diaper wedgie. I know I'm her mom, but I think that little bum is so cute!

The Fab Five. Josh & Tammy had a family reunion the last half of the week and Jen & Drew's boys got sick, so it was Sam, Hollie & I with my parents for most of the trip. Thanks, Mom & Dad for such a wonderful week!

I came home with over 300 shots (and that's after deleting at least that many). So, I also created a slideshow with the rest of my favorites.

Licorice Girl

My dad gave Hollie her first red vine while we were playing Uno up at Snowbird. She LOVED it! She was so frantic about eating it, that she would just rub it around her face until it made it's way into her mouth. It was so funny! Needless to say, we had to change her jam-jams afterwards. :O)

We're back!

I can't believe it's already over! It seems like I've been gone forever, though! We've had such an amazing time, I can't even tell you! The Bear Lake cabin was only through Wednesday, so we went to Harry Potter last night with Jer & Erin. It was AWESOME! The last 4 days of our vaca will be spent being lazy at home (& updating my blog, of course). Hollie, unfortunately, came home with an unwanted souvenir - a cold! So, I guess it's a good thing we'll be home the next few days. It'll take me a while to post about everything, so stay tuned!

So long, farewell...

Well, we're leaving in just a few hours! I'm so excited, I can't even tell you! It'll be a miracle if I get everything done, though. Anyhoo, I got my new camera yesterday, so I thought I'd leave you with some shots I took of Hollie. Prepare for LOTS of pics when I get back! :O) Hasta la Pasta!

Happy Birthday, CJ!

CJ had his Elmo birthday party last night. It's hard to believe that he's 1!!! He's such a sweet little guy & our family would not be the same without him. We love you, CJ!

It was fun to have Grandma & Grandpa Ault there, too. They just LOVE all the great-grandkids!

The kids had a ball playing in the wading pool. All of their teeth were chattering by the end, but they didn't want to get out!
