"And a little bit of pixie dust." ~Peter Pan

For Hollie's first Halloween, I thought Tinkerbell would fit her perfectly! I just can't believe how darn cute she looks in her costume! I love you, my little pixie!

Boo at the Zoo

We went trick or treating at the zoo with my 2 brothers & their families today. Oh, my heavens! I didn't think the zoo could fit so many people! It was nuts! We had to park in one of the neighborhoods behind the zoo. We had a blast, though. It was so fun to have the kids together in their costumes.

Funny story time. I was going to take Hollie's Halloween shots at Gardner Village, but I've been too busy. So, I decided to just do them today at the zoo. Anyway, while we were doing them, this family totally stops & starts watching us. They were saying how cute she is, then the Dad asks Sam, "Is it weird to want to take a picture of someone else's kid?" How funny! It's ok, if I saw her on the street street, I'd want a picture of her, too. :o)

I know this shot of Hollie & me is super blurry, but I LOVE the look on her face! That's her "you're an idiot" look.

If you look really closely, you can see Ollie's little nose squashed up against his mask. So funny!

Homecoming

Riverton had their Homecoming game on Friday against Kearns. We go to all of the games to see Sam's brother Daniel play. This was the best game of the season, though! They battled back & forth, but ended up being tied at 14 and forced into overtime. Kearns got the ball first but Riverton held them to a field goal. The whole game, Danno had been averaging 12 yards a carry, but hadn't had a TD yet. So, they make it to the 1 yard line and hand the ball off to Danno. He dives, literally dives, over 3 defenders & scores! It was so stinkin' awesome! I'm not even kidding, it was like a movie! Danno, we're all so proud of you! Way to go!

Game of cards

Sam had a Halo party Saturday night with his brothers, which means that Jessica & I get to play cards. Well, play cards & chase the little ones. Both Hollie & Kelden did NOT want to go to bed, so we gave them a deck of cards to play with. It was so fun watching them together! They would pass the cards back & forth and just played so cute with each other. Now that they're getting older, it's easier to believe they're only a few months apart. It's just fun to have a cousin that's at the same stage as she is. Thanks guys, for a fun night!

Sunbeam

So, I know I haven't posted in forever. This last week has been so stinkin' busy! I have a bunch of stuff to post about, but it's after midnight & I'm really tired. So, it'll have to wait until tomorrow. Until then, I'll leave you with a quick Hollie story...

This morning I was reading Hollie her “Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam” book. On the last page, it has a picture of Jesus. I pointed to Him & told her, “That’s Jesus.” She took her hand, patted his face & got the biggest smile on her face. I asked her if she knew him & she just smiled & looked away. It brought tears to my eyes. If only we could see the things they see. It was just such a neat moment that I had to share.

Pumpkin Day!

For FHE on Monday, we went to a pumpkin patch with Sam's parents, Jer & Erin, and the Bens. All 4 of our kids could live outside if we (their parents) would let them, so they all had a blast! I'm so excited to have pumpkins on my porch! Thank you guys for such a fun night!

Believe it or not, this is the best group shot that we got!

Don't ask me what is up with this goofy face. Sam & I laughed SO hard when we saw this shot. Love it!

Because.

There are a few reasons why I took these. Firstly, I was bored. This never happens, but today it did. I'm actually finished with my work & needed something to do. Second, I'm entering Hollie in a baby contest & wanted to get some "studio" looking shots for that. And lastly, they are an ode to Kim. Everyone knows she is my photographic hero. Her work is truly amazing. Truly. Anyway, a while back she shot some like this of Emms & they stopped my heart. Mine are no where near as breath-takingly beautiful as the ones Kimmie did, but a girl can dream, right? I added most of them to my June portfolio, but here are a few...
