The hats.

Oh, love the hats. Erin & I found them at Gymboree when we went shopping together one day. It was love at first sight. We both had to buy them, and of course the outfits that went with them. For the record, however, this photo op was so not planned. Sam's extended family had a "Thanksgiving" dinner last Saturday. So, Erin & I show up and the girls look like twins. Should I be surprised? We do this all the time. If it's not the girls, it's ourselves that are dressed alike. We really need to start calling each other before we get dressed. :o)

I also wanted to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving! I know it's a bit early, but we are leaving for DISNEYLAND in 8 short hours. Can't hardly wait! See everyone when we get back!

A time to post

I think I'm definitely due for an update. I have been so insanely busy this past month that I haven't had time to breathe, let alone blog. So, here's what's new with us...

First of all, Hollie took her first steps a few weeks ago! We've been practicing with her (walking while she holds our fingers, then letting go), but today was the first time she decided herself to let go of her support & take a few steps. It's so fun to watch her, but makes me so sad at the same time. I'm really not ready for a birthday next month!

Second, Hollie has added another word to her vocabulary. Her new favorite thing to say is "baby." She's says it all the time. It's so clear, too! She is definitely a TALKER! If she's awake, she's talking. It will be much more difficult when she starts expecting me to answer her. :o)

Last, my little fishy has discovered the wonderful world of the bath tub. We still do tubby time in the bathroom sink if we're in a hurry, but she absolutely loves to splish splash in the big tub. Love to watch her. Love her. Love my life. I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Surprise!

I decided forever ago to throw a Surprise party for Sam's 30th birthday. I've been plotting & planning it for months. I just wanted to do something really special for him. So, I invited all of our close friends & family and did my best to keep it a secret. Which was tough! It was such a wonderful night, though, that it made it worth all the effort! I love you, babe! Happy birthday!

I love the confused look on his face!

These are some of our good friends - the Elzingas, Beechs, & Stokes. Sam's known these guys since kindergarten. We just love being around them!

All Hallow's Eve

This is almost a week late, but we really did have a great Halloween! It has to be my favorite ever. Never been much of a fan of the whole dressing up part of Halloween. I know, that's the whole point, but I think I was traumatized by those stupid school parades. Anyway, I had so much fun this year! I LOVED dressing Hollie up & taking her out. We started out by going to visit Daddy & Grandma at their work. Tammy & CJ met us there & they got to trick or treat up & down the aisles together. Then, we went up to Jer & Erin's for dinner & more trick or treating. I just can't believe Hollie's first Halloween has come & gone.

We were trying every bribe we could think of to get a picture of our sweet little girls together. Their costumes just matched so perfectly!

I was a little worried that Hollie would be scared of Sam's mask, but as you can see, she was definitely not. It freaked poor Kelden out, though. We put the mask away after that.

Good Things Utah

So, I haven't updated forever. Life has been CRAZY! Our whole house has been sick as a dog. Yuck! Even Sam (which is shocking if you know him)! Other than that, life is good. I'm hoping to post some pics from Halloween soon. We'll see if I have the energy tonight. I do have some exciting news, though. The morning show, Good Things Utah, is featuring One Day in June Photography & giving away one of my sessions. It will air this week, the 7th & 8th. I'm pretty excited. It'll be kind of weird to see my work on tv, though. Cool, but weird.
