JoHanna & Brandon

Well, my first wedding is done! The lighting was really challenging, but it was a great learning experience. Thank you, JoHanna & Brandon for letting me be a small part of your day!

For Shar...

I wanted you to see these few shots. I didn't put them on my June blog, but wanted to share them with you. I loved the ones with you & your sisters, and the one of Grandpa.

Sleepy girl

So, I don't have any pictures to go along with this, but I had to share this story. So, Sam brought Hollie to me in the middle of the night so I could nurse her. Well, he woke up an hour later & Hollie wasn't on the bed. Thinking I had taken her back to her crib, he went to check on her. She wasn't there either, though. So, he came back in our room and there she was, sound asleep on the floor by our bed. Apparently, we had both fallen asleep and Hollie had rolled off the bed. It didn't even wake her up, though! It was so funny!

Temple

Sam & I took Hollie to the Jordan River Temple Tuesday night so that I could practice there before the wedding with my new flash. I loved walking around the beautiful temple grounds with my wonderful little family. After Sam & I went out to dinner, we weren't ready for our night to end. So, we went to a 10:00 movie. We haven't done that forever! Amazingly enough, Hollie did pretty good. She slept through 3/4 of it. I'm just so grateful for my family & can't imagine life without them!

Funny girl!

We use Hollie's Pack & Play as a place to dump all the clean clothes that I don't feel like folding. Well, Sam was going to get Hollie to bed, so I stood her there for a minute while he finished on the computer. Apparently, she got tired, layed down, and fell fast asleep. It was so funny! She's definitely like me - she can sleep ANYWHERE!

My little helper...

The new desk that Sam & I got has a little ledge underneath the keyboard tray. Hollie thinks it's the coolest thing ever! She uses it like her own little desk. Mean Mommie won't let her play under there, though. Too many cords to pull on!! Look at that mischievous grin! She knows she's doing something naughty!

Hey there!

I haven't blogged in a while, so I thought I'd give you guys an update. Thursday was a busy day. Hollie went to Jer & Erin's to play with her cousins so that Sam & I could go to Lagoon. It was so much fun to get away for a bit with just the hubby! I was in desperate need for a good thrill ride! :o)

Then, last night I shot my first wedding reception & loved every minute of it! Dan & Julia are the most darling couple and I, of course, adore their family. I just love challenging myself, growing, and learning as much as I can.

Beautiful Bride

I had a couple of sessions on Saturday. One of them was my first bridal shoot! I was a little nervous, but it was good practice for the 2 weddings I have coming up. It's going to be a busy couple of weeks! Here's a sneak preview from Saturday. If you want to see more, you can go to my June blog.

I LOVED the session with Ellenie & Emmie! As we were walking, I heard Ellenie turn to her sister & say, "I love you, Emmie." It instantly melted my heart.

Why do I blog?

I've been tagged by my friend Arianne to tell why I do this crazy little thing called blogging. Well, Jen is solely responsible for my addiction. It started out as just a fun way to stay in touch with my friends. Now, there are many more reasons. It's an awesome way to keep a journal & reflect on life's happenings. Mostly, I just love being a small part of all of your lives. Thank you for being my sisters & friends. I love you all!

Curious.

She's not officially 8 months until next week, but I decided to take her 8 month shots yesterday. If there's one word to describe Hollie, it's curious. I love to watch her explore her world. I love the way she stares at you until you look at her so that she can flash her sweet grin. I love how she jabbers all day long. I just love her. Love her.

If you've looked at my "June" blog, you know that I'm obsessed with eyelashes. I try to capture them on every shoot. Well, I finally caught Hollie's! They're not very dark yet, but they curl perfectly. It looks like I use an eyelash curler on them!

Just because

She has to stretch her leg almost as far as it goes, but she can get her knee on top of the step. I just thought she looked really cute playing on the steps with Snoopy. Jen, I know you can't tell in the picture, but that is one of the 0-3 onesies that you gave her at her shower. Still fits like a glove! :O)

Dandelions

Hollie came outside with Sam & I on Saturday while we worked on the yard. She just sat on the grass & played. It was so cute! She was so fascinated with the dandelions, though! She found a few in the grass before we mowed & she thought they were the coolest things ever! You can see her eye-balling one in the first shot. I must say, though, Boy Sam has been around me too long. When he saw her playing with them, HE said to go get the camera. I've trained him well, eh?! :O)

Abram's blessing

My cute little nephew was blessed today. You may be shocked & amazed to know that these are the only pictures that I took all day. Amazing, I know! You see, right after we ate, Hollie threw up everywhere! It was really scary because she stopped breathing for a while. So, we left right after. Thankfully, she hasn't thrown up again tonight. Poor little thing! She's definitely got the projectile vomit thing down!

Oh, how I've missed you!

It felt so good to have my camera back in my hands! I can't even tell you! It's been almost a week, which is forever for me. I was trying to decide what Hollie should wear today & just had her head band on. I thought it looked so cute that I had to get some shots. Enjoy!

Up, she goes!

Hollie has figured out how to pull herself up. Boo!!! She just started trying yesterday & has been practicing ever since. This was one skill I really didn't want her to figure out (especially if you know how many stairs we have!).
